Universal Banker I

 

Location: The American National Bank main location, 115 Front St., Beaver Dam, WI 

Status: Full-time hourly position

Hours: Approximately 39-40 hours per week. Hours are Monday – Friday 8:20 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and every other Saturday morning (8:15 a.m. – 12:00 noon).

Responsibilities: Entry level Universal Bankers are responsible for servicing customers’ needs by processing transactions efficiently, professionally and accurately. They are also responsible for recognizing additional customer banking needs and cross selling products and services which meet those needs or making referrals to appropriate employees. Deposit account opening and closing, educating customers on the bank’s products and services, and responding to customer inquiries are also responsibilities of this position. 

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years previous cash handling & customer service experience
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to identify customer needs, cross-sell products and services and make referrals
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Operational Support Position

 

Location:  The American National Bank, all full-service locations (Beaver Dam and Helenville) on an as-needed basis.

Status: Full-time hourly position

Hours: Approximately 38 - 40 hours per week. Hours worked will vary, depending upon location and the weekly schedule. Typically, shifts are between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Hours also include every other Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. 

 

Responsibilities: The Operational Support person is responsible for assisting the Accounting Department staff by performing a variety of clerical tasks involving reconciling general ledger accounts, posting transactions to bank and customers’ accounts, performing maintenance on customers’ deposit accounts, tasks associated with electronic products and services and document scanning responsibilities for all areas of the bank. 

 

The Operational Support person is also responsible for providing assistance to customer service areas in the full-service branches and main bank lobby during vacation periods or other times of staff shortage. Duties include processing typical teller transactions efficiently, professionally and accurately. 

Recognizing additional customer financial needs and cross-selling products and services which meet those needs or making referrals to appropriate staff members is required. 

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years previous cash handling & customer service experience
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of co-workers and customers
  • Must be flexible to accept changes in work locations and schedules
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is necessary
  • Ability to identify customer needs & refer bank products and services
  • Must be a quick learner and able to retain knowledge of a large number of procedures
  • Prior financial institution experience is preferred, but not required
